NABVETS & Semper Tek, Unveiling Celebration of the Charles Young Veterans Memorial

Location: Kentucky Center for African American Heritage, 1701 West Muhammed Ali Boulevard, Louisville, KY. This memorial will commemorate Charles Young who was originally from Mays Lick, Kentucky and the first black man to achieve the rank of colonel in the United States Army which made him the highest-ranking black officer in the regular army until his death in 1922. Please join Mayor Fischer and other dignitaries at 2:00 p.m. unveil and celebrate the Charles Young Veterans Memorial.
